Another baseball season starts this week, meaning another year of my fantasy guys sucking mysteriously. My excitement over getting Erik Bedard in the fourth round of my 5×5 mixed league draft has quickly dissipated, thanks to a headline on my fantasy site. Bedard’s lead news item reads, simply: “Bedard struggles, doesn’t know why”. Wonderful. Once again I will provide the french kiss of death to another fantasy stud. Last year, it was Travis Hafner, Lance Berkman, Ben Sheets and Carlos Delgado. I drafted Hafner and Sheets again this season, hoping the other tried and true theory - that whoever was horrible for me last year will be great the next - holds for repeat draftees. I think I just quadruple jinxed myself or something.

On to the season. Get ready for 9-14, 5.26, 1.44 for Bedard this year.
